Faye’s Room

by Alex K. Masse

Faye’s Room

Premiered at the Vancity Culture Lab, November 7 – 23, 2025.

Faye Murphy is an autistic lesbian who works at a queer cafe… and happens to have the power to summon and hide in a magical sensory room at will. When she becomes trapped in this room with her least favourite co-worker, son of the founder and token heterosexual Chase McLure, an unlikely bond forms, and the two find themselves with a bit more in common than they’d thought. Faye’s Room is a moving exploration of neurodivergent solidarity, intergenerational bonds, and internalized ableism.

Audience & Critic Reviews:

“What stays with you about Faye’s Room is the honesty, the humour, the invitation in, and the open-hearted trust that you’ll meet it halfway.”

— Angie Rico, Stir

“Incredibly impactful, really funny with a lot of heart… there were just so many great moments where I felt seen for the first time on stage. The performances were full of energy and emotion, I can’t recommend this show enough!”
